Public awareness and the development of program and policy recommendations provide the foundation for championing the critical need in the state of Utah for mental healthcare for young children.
We are pleased to announce that HB 337 was passed and signed into law in 2020 by Utah Governor Cox. The bill expands education/training and telehealth consultation to early childhood providers—from preschool and childcare teams to educators and physicians.
The bill has a provision to increase public awareness about the importance of early childhood mental health. The Children’s Center Utah played an important role in developing and supporting this legislation.
